Where do I start? Almost 23 years ago I was born in Berkeley, California. I grew up in the small, non-diverse town of Grass Valley which I loved. I headed to the University of California, San Diego where I studied International Economics. After studying abroad in Argentina, I came back to UC San Diego and met Pablo, my Chilean other half. That was 3 years ago. In the last three years, I had an amazing 5 months with Pablo in California, survived a long distance relationship when he went back to Chile, graduated, moved to Santiago, Chile to end the distance, and started a successful wedding photography business. After calling Santiago, Chile home for the last year and a half, Pablo and I decided it would be a blast to start all over again from scratch in an unknown country and city (sarcasm). We decided to move to Guayaquil, Ecuador for a position they offered him in the LAN offices for the next year (April 2012-April 2013). This is my blog about what it’s like, what I hate, what I love, what I miss, and why we did it.
